Deontay Wilder broke a punch machine and caused it to glitch as he took on the famous arcade challenge at an MMA show on Thursday night.

The former WBC heavyweight world champion attended PFL's event and watched from cageside as Brendan Loughnane suffered a shock defeat to Jesus Pinedo.

Wilder had fun backstage before the main event as he took on the iconic punch machine challenge.

The Bronze Bomber is one of the hardest hitters in boxing history and so there was a fair amount of anticipation when he stepped up.

He first hammered the punch ball with his right hand for a score of 930.

However, he was not happy with this and so stepped up for a second attempt.

This time he smashed the machine so hard it didn't register his punch properly and glitched completely before settling on an incorrect number of 418.

As boxing fans around the world know, Wilder is in advanced talks to finally fight Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia in December.

Offers have now been sent by Saudi's Skill Challenge Entertainment to representatives for both boxers and everything appears on track for them to meet at last.

Wilder told the Mirror on Thursday night: "The offer is definitely out there, the discussion has been talked and it's a real thing.

"I think it definitely is going to take place, Saudi Arabia is a beautiful place to be, even though I know they get a lot of heat on the past activities that went on in their country."

It's possible that Joshua vs Wilder could be joined by Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk as it's known the Saudis are eyeing an historic night of boxing in December with both heavyweight super fights on the same show.

Some remain doubtful of Fury's intentions to face Usyk though.

Giving his thoughts, Wilder said: "Knowing him and knowing his personality you wouldn't be surprised [if he turned it down].

"He's one of those types of people, indecisive at times.

"He's one of those people like, 'I have what I want to do,' but when it comes time to sign it up he changes up.

"So when you know him it ain't surprising, we'll see what happens at the end of the day but if he don't sign it me and Anthony will still proceed."
