This Diesel Handbag Is Too Good to Resist

Imagine strutting through the already-glamorized streets of New York City and seeing some this eye-catching, almost otherworldly handbag under a particularly stylish person's shoulder. You see it on friends on Instagram, who look just as cool, unbothered and confident as ever. Then, suddenly it's at the top of your shopping watchlist. Well, that's how I've fallen for Diesel's 1dr handbag.

Made with Italian leather, it's a bundle of style that comfortably tucks under the arm. The big "D" logo on the outside catches light — giving an unmistakable flash that screams Diesel to those in the know. The shape of the flap complements the purse's curved silhouette, which just makes it nice to look at. The bag is versatile, too, thanks to its optional crossbody strap.

Diesel has been making waves in fashion lately for its edgy, unexpected moves, from collaborating with condom brand Durex for a capsule collection to famously playing... NSFW sounds at its fashion show in February, where there was also a mountain of 200,000 condoms. (Yes, Anna Wintour was there.) Megan Thee Stallion proclaimed herself a Diesel girl on Instagram, and the brand's mini skirt (belt?) went viral on TikTok. The label has been on a roll, and Creative Director Glenn Martens always has something clever up his sleeve.

Each of the metallic colorways make for a great statement accessory to add a bit of spice to an outfit. In pink, it's the on-trend Barbiecore accessory to bring on a casual day out. The blue bag is the perfect accessory for any Little Mermaid cosplay. It also comes in smooth nappa leather or distressed denim.

Diesel may have built its brand off denim, but the Italian brand's bold accessories have captured the zeitgeist lately, especially the 1dr bag. I'm planning on getting in line and parading around town with the silver bag, probably paired with cargo pants and sneakers.
