David K. Hui, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024, at his home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

David was the son of Philip and Sylvia Hui of Allentown, NJ. He was born on March 27, 1962, in Hong Kong and his family settled in the United States in 1969. Dave was a graduate of Allentown High School and a 1984 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he was a proud brother of Theta Chi fraternity.

He began his early career as an engineer but found his calling when he became a Financial Services Professional for New York Life. Having the uncanny ability to reach people and his gift of gab, Dave enjoyed the last 17 years educating and guiding his clients.

Dave truly lived life to the fullest and loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed skiing, hiking, biking, and most recently, snowmobiling. His greatest love was coaching his daughters in softball, introducing them to skiing, and cheering them on at all their events. Dave was an avid college football fan and could always be found helping neighbors with projects or vacationing with family and friends.

David will be forever loved and cherished by his wife of 23 years, Cathy Hui of Merrimack, NH and their two daughters, Lindsey and Avery. He is survived by his parents, Phil and Sylvia Hui of Allentown, NJ; his sisters, Kathie Bridge and her husband John; Karen Briggs and her husband George; and nieces and nephews: Jason, Jocelyn, Hannah, Wiley and Ellie. He leaves behind many beloved friends from high school, college, coaching, and the Merrimack community

Memorial visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4:00pm - 6:30pm at Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH. Following the calling hours, a brief service will be held in the chapel at Rivet Funeral Home.

Cathy and the girls would like to say “Thank You” to the supportive and caring staff at the St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David's memory can be made to St Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, NH - https://stjosephhospital.com/support-st-joseph/
